Introduction
-------------
This text document accompanies the composite video CCS test case for DM814X EVM. It
provides a brief of the methodology of the test and the procedure for executing
the same.

Overview
---------
This CCS test application validates the Composite -Video out present on the base board for its ability to send video data.
This test uses a tuner connected through a composite-video cable.

Board settings
--------------
This test case requires a tuner, Composite -video cable, VGA cable and a monitor.
One end of the Composite-Video cable is connected to the Composite-video connector(J9) of DM814X EVM and the other end of the cable is connected to a tuner.
Connect a VGA cable between the tuner and a VGA monitor.
The monitor should be configured to Composite-video mode (AV mode) with the help of tuner.
If an LCD monitor which supports composite video input is available, tuner is not needed and a composite video cable can be connected between J9 and the LCD monitor.

Procudure
----------
This test application assumes the DDR controller initialization as well as all
the PLL initialization is already carried out by the GEL scripts. At the minimum
the following GEL scripts are to be executed.
	1. DM814X System Initialization --> BaseBoard_CompositeVideo

On executing the GEL script, a color bar pattern gets displayed in the VGA monitor. If the colour bar pattern gets displayed in the monitor,
the test case is declared PASS otherwise the test is a FAILURE.
